York University President's International Scholarship of Excellence
Offered by York University
About this scholarship
York University's President's International Scholarship of Excellence is one of York's highest-value entrance awards for international high-school applicants. The scholarship is valued at CAD $180,000 over four years, paid as CAD $45,000 per year, and up to 20 awards are listed for each cycle. It is intended for applicants who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership skills, commitment to volunteer work and extracurricular activities, and the potential to contribute to York's international community. Recipients are known as President's International Scholars and receive access to a scholar community and tailored career support. Students must submit York's International Student Scholarship and Award Application, and the official 2026 cycle required both a student application and a school nomination by January/February deadlines. Because the verified 2026 deadlines have passed and the next application cycle has not yet been published, the deadline is recorded as annual/next-cycle TBA rather than a guessed 2027 date. The award is partial funding because even CAD $45,000 per year may not fully cover every program's tuition, residence, meals, health insurance, books, travel, and personal costs.
