Wright State University UCIE Undergraduate Merit Scholarship
Offered by Wright State University
About this scholarship
Wright State University's University Center for International Education (UCIE) Undergraduate Merit Scholarship recognizes academically strong international first-year and transfer students for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 academic years. The scholarship is automatic with admission: no separate scholarship form is required, and Wright State considers eligible students when they are admitted. Awards are tiered by high school or prior undergraduate GPA: $6,000 annually for a 2.5-2.99 GPA, $8,000 for a 3.0-3.19 GPA, and $10,000 for a 3.2 or higher GPA. The scholarship is tuition-only, split evenly between fall and spring semesters, and may be renewed for a total of eight full-time undergraduate semesters if the student continues to satisfy Wright State's requirements. Students must be international degree-seeking students on F-1 or J-1 visas, be charged the non-resident tuition surcharge, and enroll full time. Renewal requires maintaining at least a 2.5 GPA and earning 24 credit hours during the fall and spring semesters. Funds are awarded as available, so the official advice is to apply for undergraduate admission early.
