Wichita State University Global Select Scholarship
Offered by Wichita State University
About this scholarship
The Wichita State University Global Select Scholarship is a merit-based tuition discount for incoming international students. Wichita State states that qualifying international students receive a substantial tuition discount equivalent to 150% of the Kansas resident tuition rate. For undergraduates taking 12 credit hours per semester, the published Global Select table lists a 36% tuition discount with an estimated award of $5,500 per academic year and $22,000 after four years of study. The 2026-2027 international undergraduate estimated expenses table also shows the Global Select Scholarship reducing the nine-month cost by $5,500 and the twelve-month cost by $6,800. The award is partial funding because it discounts tuition only and does not cover fees, housing, meals, books, medical insurance, travel, or personal expenses. To be considered, students answer one scholarship question on the Wichita State admission application. Eligible students are automatically awarded Global Select at the time of admission, and the award automatically renews until the end of the program. It is available to incoming international students, including freshman and transfer applicants, but it does not apply to students receiving resident or other discounted tuition rates.
