About this scholarship

Western University's International President's Entrance Scholarships are part of the National Scholarship Program, Western's competitive entrance-scholarship process for students with all-round excellence. The official National Scholarship page lists three International President's Entrance Scholarships at CAD $100,000. National Scholarships are awarded on the basis of outstanding academic performance, creative and innovative thought, passion for learning, exceptional achievement in extracurricular activities such as arts and athletics, and a strong commitment to community service. International applicants are specifically eligible for the International President's Entrance Scholarships, while most other National Scholarship awards are restricted to Canadian citizens or permanent residents. All applicants must have a minimum overall academic average of 90% on Grade 12U/M courses or equivalent, apply to Western University's main campus, register as full-time students, and submit the online National Scholarship application and supporting documents by the deadline. A school nomination is required, and each school may nominate up to four students, with one additional nomination permitted if that student is an international visa student. The award is partial funding because the CAD $100,000 value does not guarantee full cost of attendance for every program and living-cost situation.
