USF Green and Gold Directors Waiver Award
Offered by University of South Florida
About this scholarship
The USF Green and Gold Directors Waiver Award reduces nonresident tuition for high-achieving students entering the University of South Florida in summer or fall 2027. The current published value is approximately $9,000 per year, or about $36,000 across four years. This is a tuition waiver rather than a cash scholarship: it applies only against the out-of-state portion of undergraduate USF tuition and fees and cannot be used for housing, meals, books, or non-USF courses. Applicants do not submit a separate scholarship form. USF automatically reviews accepted first-year students using the same academic record provided for admission and the student’s residency classification. To be considered, the admission application, fee, transcript information, and required test score must all be complete by January 15, 2027. Awards are limited, so an eligible or admitted student is not guaranteed funding. The waiver may pay less when a student enrolls in fewer credit hours. It ends if the recipient becomes a Florida resident for tuition purposes and cannot be combined with another award that waives the same nonresident tuition, including the USF Grandparent Waiver. Recipients are notified by mail and through USF’s student portal.
