University of Vermont Trustees Scholarship

About this scholarship

The University of Vermont Trustees Scholarship is a renewable merit scholarship for admitted out-of-state first-year students, including international students. UVM lists it on the official scholarship page for prospective out-of-state resident and international students and states that first-time, first-year applicants are automatically considered based on their admission application. No separate Trustees Scholarship application is required. Trustee Scholars receive a four-year, eight-semester merit scholarship ranging from $10,000 to $15,000 annually. The award is partial funding because it offsets college costs but does not fully pay tuition, fees, room, board, health insurance, books, travel, or personal expenses. Recipients are selected for outstanding academic performance, and most scholarship notifications are included with the offer of admission. Renewal requires enrollment in 12 or more credits per semester and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, with eligibility reviewed after each spring term. International students should complete UVM admission, provide official academic records, and satisfy English proficiency rules where required.

Eligibility

• Apply as a first-time first-year undergraduate applicant to UVM
• Be an out-of-state or international student
• Demonstrate outstanding academic performance in the admission review
• Complete UVM admission requirements by the relevant deadline
• Meet UVM English proficiency requirements if applicable
• Enroll in at least 12 credits per semester for renewal
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for renewal
