The University of Regina International Student of Distinction Scholarship: Tier 2 is a renewable residence-value award for international undergraduate applicants entering directly from high school. Regina lists Tier 2 at an approximate value of CAD $40,000 over four years in the form of free on-campus housing. It is not a tuition credit scholarship, and it does not include the meal plan that distinguishes Tier 1, so the award is recorded as partial funding. Students must still pay tuition, fees, food costs beyond the covered housing arrangement, books, insurance, travel, and personal expenses. All eligible international students applying to an undergraduate degree program directly from high school are automatically considered based on the admission average, and no additional scholarship application is required. Tier 2 is for students with an early conditional or overall final high school average of 85% to 89.99%, converted to the Canadian grading scale. Renewal rules match the International Student of Distinction structure: students must complete 30 credit hours per calendar year and maintain a minimum UGPA of 75% in the first year and 80% in subsequent years.

Eligibility

• Apply as an international undergraduate student directly from high school
• Apply to a University of Regina undergraduate degree program

• Receive the award as free on-campus housing rather than tuition credit
