About this scholarship
University of Oklahoma Transfer International Scholarships are centralized merit awards for admitted international transfer students on the Norman campus and at the OU Polytechnic Institute in Tulsa. OU states that transfer international scholarships are based on criteria such as academics, leadership, community involvement, and extracurricular activities. To be treated as a transfer student for these scholarships, a student must have completed 24 college credit hours after high school graduation. Published fall 2026 transfer international awards include the Transfer Academic Excellence Scholarship at $10,000 per year for two years with a 3.75+ transfer GPA, Transfer Academic Distinction at $8,000 per year with a 3.5+ GPA, Transfer Academic Achievement at $6,000 per year with a 3.25+ GPA, Transfer Honor Award at $2,000 per year with a 3.00+ GPA, Transfer Leadership Award at $3,000, and Phi Theta Kappa at $2,000. The award is partial funding because it reduces cost but does not cover the full cost of attendance. Students must apply for admission and scholarships by the relevant transfer deadline.
