University of Nevada, Reno OISS Scholarship
Offered by University of Nevada, Reno
About this scholarship
The University of Nevada, Reno OISS Scholarship is an Office of International Students and Scholars scholarship for new and continuing international undergraduates. UNR states that OISS offers scholarships to new and continuing undergraduate students in amounts ranging from $300 to $5,000 per year, with nominations made based on donor criteria and GPA. The award is partial funding because it provides limited annual support and does not cover full tuition, fees, housing, meals, books, health insurance, travel, or personal expenses. Eligible applicants are F-1 or J-1 students enrolled in a degree-seeking program at the university. Continuing students must complete the Graduate and Undergraduate Scholarship Application in MyNEVADA, with preference given to students who complete it by February 1, even though the application remains available until May 31. Students must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements, and undergraduate students need at least a 2.75 total cumulative University GPA. During award semesters, undergraduates generally must enroll in 15 University credits, with special rules for final-semester students and approved reduced course loads.
