University of Idaho #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship

About this scholarship

The University of Idaho #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship is an annual renewable scholarship for first-year international undergraduate students. The official international scholarships page states that the award covers 50% of tuition for up to four years of study and is available at the time of initial enrollment. It is partial funding because it covers half of tuition only and does not cover the remaining tuition, fees, housing, meals, health insurance, books, travel, or personal expenses. The scholarship is open to first-year international students admitted to undergraduate degree programs at the University of Idaho. It cannot be combined with the Invitation to Idaho scholarship and does not apply to online-only semesters or summer session. To apply, students first apply for admission before the admission application deadline and then submit the #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship application by the priority deadline. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis year-round, but priority deadlines are published for full consideration. Renewal requires cultural sharing and engagement, a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, and at least 12 successfully completed credits each fall and spring semester.

Eligibility

• Apply for admission to the University of Idaho before the admission deadline
• Be a first-year international student admitted to an undergraduate degree program
• Submit the #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship application by the priority deadline for full consideration
• Do not combine the award with Invitation to Idaho
• Participate in at least 10 hours per semester of cultural sharing and engagement for renewal
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
• Enroll in and successfully complete at least 12 credits each fall and spring semester
