University of Geneva Excellence Master Fellowships (Switzerland)
Offered by University of Geneva (Faculty of Science)
About this scholarship
The Excellence Master Fellowships at the University of Geneva's Faculty of Science reward outstanding international and Swiss students entering a Master of Science programme at one of Europe's leading research universities. The fellowship provides financial support toward living costs during the two-year master's (the current amount is published on the Faculty of Science page), helping top students focus on their studies and research. Eligibility is open to students from any university who have very good performance in their bachelor's studies and rank in the best 10% of their bachelor's program. The application is made online from the beginning of January each year: after registering you receive a personal link to complete the form, and you must submit a motivation letter describing your specific scientific interests and reasons for pursuing a Master of Science at Geneva, plus letters of reference from two professors attesting to your aptitude; other relevant material such as GRE or TOEFL/other language test results may be included. The next deadline is around 28 February for master's programmes starting the following September. Selection is competitive and based on academic excellence and research potential.
