University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship
Offered by University of Calgary
About this scholarship
The University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship is a merit award offered annually to undergraduate international students entering their first year of any undergraduate degree in the upcoming fall term at the University of Calgary, one of Canada's leading research universities. It recognises strong academic achievement and helps offset the international differential tuition that these students pay; the current monetary value is published on the official award page, and it is classed here as a partial award since it contributes toward, rather than fully covers, the cost of study. A valuable feature is that it is renewable in the second, third, and fourth years of study, provided recipients achieve a GPA of 2.60 or higher over a minimum of 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms and continue to pay international differential tuition as an international student. Eligibility requires you to be an international student who pays international tuition fees (not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident), to be entering first year, and to have satisfied the University's English Language Proficiency requirement. There is no fully separate process beyond admission: you are given access to the award application 24 to 48 hours after submitting your application for admission, and you complete it through the my.ucalgary.ca portal.
