University of Alberta Gold Standard Scholarship
Offered by University of Alberta
About this scholarship
The University of Alberta Gold Standard Scholarship is an admission-based undergraduate scholarship for high-achieving students entering U of A faculties. The official international undergraduate scholarships page lists the Gold Standard Scholarship among admission-based awards that do not require a separate scholarship application. The top 5% of students in each faculty may receive up to CAD $6,000 based on admission average. The award is partial funding because it is a limited entrance scholarship and does not cover full tuition, fees, residence, meals, books, health insurance, travel, transportation, or personal expenses. Applicants are assessed when they apply for admission, and the university contacts eligible students directly if an admission-based scholarship match is made. International students should complete the undergraduate admission application, provide all required academic documentation, meet program-specific and English-language admission requirements, and review any conditions included in the award offer. Because selection is tied to faculty-level comparison and available scholarship funding, admission to the university alone does not guarantee receipt of the Gold Standard Scholarship.
