UC Irvine Directors’ Scholarship
Offered by University of California, Irvine
About this scholarship
UC Irvine’s Directors’ Scholarship is a distinguished merit award for domestic out-of-state and international students entering UCI in the fall. Students do not submit a separate scholarship form. UCI automatically reviews the information in the UC Application for Admission and Scholarships, and no additional materials are required or considered. For fall 2027, the UC application is available now and must be submitted between October 1 and November 30, 2026. Selection is based on a comprehensive review of the applicant’s academic preparation, including the strength and breadth of coursework and grades. Recipients receive a monetary honorarium, with the final amount governed by federal and state financial-aid rules, and a two-year on-campus housing guarantee when the Statement of Intent to Register and housing application are completed on time. The scholarship may also support approved UC Education Abroad or UCDC participation. Eligibility is limited to non-California residents who are U.S. citizens, eligible noncitizens, permanent residents, or international students holding F-1 status. California residents are not eligible, and scholars who later establish California residency lose the award. Renewal lasts for the period named in the award letter and requires completing at least 12 units each quarter and maintaining a cumulative 2.70 GPA.
