Toys for Kids Hendu Collegiate Scholarship

Offered by Toys for Kids Seattle

About this scholarship

The Toys for Kids Hendu Collegiate Scholarship is the separate current application path for eligible undergraduates who previously participated in the Toys for Kids scholarship process. Toys for Kids’ 2026 announcement identifies undergraduate sophomores and juniors who were past TFK applicants as the collegiate audience. The $5,000 award honors Dave “Hendu” Henderson and supports tuition or books while recognizing students committed to education, compassion, service, and positive community impact. The live form requests student and parent or guardian contacts, current school, GPA, and counselor information. Every applicant must upload one PDF containing a 300–600 word, double-spaced essay and one recommendation from a school official or mentor; incomplete files and documents outside that format are not considered. Students should provide a personal email address rather than an institutional account that may block committee messages. The official program page clearly separates this form from the high-school-senior application, preventing returning college students from using the wrong route. The current deadline is September 10, 2026. Eligible sophomores and juniors should submit through the direct collegiate form and accurately identify their earlier Toys for Kids application history.
