Toronto Metropolitan University International Student Leadership Award
Offered by Toronto Metropolitan University
About this scholarship
The Toronto Metropolitan University International Student Leadership Award, or ISLA, is an entrance-only scholarship for new international undergraduates. TMU states that ISLA is for international students enrolling in a post-secondary institution for the first time and starting their first year of a full-time four-year undergraduate degree, or a five-year co-op degree, while paying international tuition fees. The fall 2026 award is valued at CAD $10,000 for up to 53 recipients, while the winter 2027 version is also valued at CAD $10,000 for up to 20 students. The scholarship is partial funding because it is a one-time award and does not cover full tuition, fees, residence, meals, books, health insurance, travel, and personal expenses. Selection focuses on students who do well academically, volunteer, join clubs, and show leadership qualities. Applicants use AwardSpring after receiving a TMU student number and activating their online identity. The fall 2026 application deadline has passed, but the winter 2027 deadline is September 14, 2026 according to TMU's updated note.
