Timothy L. Correll Foundation Memorial Scholarships

Offered by Timothy L. Correll Foundation, Inc.

About this scholarship

The Timothy L. Correll Foundation Memorial Scholarships support Minnesota residents preparing to serve their communities as nurses, paramedics, or firefighters. The foundation accepts applications on an ongoing basis, with the complete student application and all supporting materials due by March 20 each year. Applicants may be traditional or nontraditional students, but they must be enrolled in or accepted to an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university for the fall semester of the award year. The eligible programs are nursing, paramedicine, and fire science or firefighting. The foundation awards at least four $750 scholarships annually and may make additional awards when funding permits. Scholarship funds can be used for cost-of-attendance expenses. Selection emphasizes initiative, leadership, service to the community, commitment to completing the chosen program, and the energy and enthusiasm applicants bring to emergency service or nursing. The committee evaluates personal statements and may conduct personal interviews. It also requires recommendations from instructors or program directors and from unrelated community references, plus documentation confirming acceptance or current enrollment. Students apply through the sponsor’s online form; recommenders use separate teacher and community recommendation forms on the same official site. The linked application is therefore the actual sponsor-controlled submission route, not a scholarship directory or general homepage.
