Thea Foundation Fashion Design Scholarship Competition

Offered by Thea Foundation

About this scholarship

The Thea Foundation Fashion Design Scholarship Competition recognizes original clothing, costume, accessory, and complete-outfit work by Arkansas high-school seniors. The Foundation lists three awards, with a top scholarship of $10,000. The scholarship is decided on creative talent and craftsmanship, not GPA, test scores, or a requirement to study fashion in college. It may be used at an accredited postsecondary institution, and Thea education partners may offer matching support. The current 2027 registration form asks for a materials-and-process description of up to 150 words, a separate response of up to 150 words explaining the applicant’s inspiration and the importance of fashion design, and the student’s design goals. The submission workflow also requires a mini-portfolio of three to five sketches or cutouts, including the intended design; a video showing the entry from multiple angles and discussing the process; entry photographs; a designer image; and a headshot. Students first complete the linked registration form and then use the official page’s separate upload link. Current rules limit eligibility to Arkansas high-school seniors graduating in Spring 2027, including eligible public, private, and homeschool students. Every required registration and upload component is due January 10, 2027.
