About this scholarship

The LAGRANT Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship supports college students preparing for careers in advertising, marketing, or public relations. For 2027, the Foundation will award 30 traditional undergraduate scholarships of $2,500 each. Recipients also attend required career-building programming in Washington, D.C., April 25–28, 2027, including professional workshops, a keynote dinner, and a scholarship and donor recognition reception. Eligible applicants are current freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or non-graduating seniors attending an accredited four-year U.S. institution full-time with at least 12 units per term. They must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients; major in a field emphasizing advertising, marketing, or public relations; maintain at least a 3.0 GPA; and have at least one year remaining in their degree when awards are presented in April. The online submission must include the typed application, a one-page career-goals essay, a response about increasing representation in the communications fields, activity and honors summaries, one signed reference letter from a professor or internship adviser, a current résumé, an unofficial transcript, and a headshot. All materials must arrive together by 5:00 p.m. Pacific on February 15, 2027. Complete applications submitted by January 18 receive 10 bonus points. Recipients must attend all program activities and maintain contact with the Foundation for one year.

Eligibility

  • Be a United States citizen, permanent resident, or DACA recipient
  • Attend an accredited four-year institution in the United States full-time with at least 12 units per term
  • Be a current freshman, sophomore, junior, or non-graduating senior
  • Major in a field emphasizing advertising, marketing, or public relations
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Have at least one year remaining in the degree when the scholarship is awarded in April 2027
  • Submit the complete typed application and all supporting documents together online
  • Attend every required Washington, D.C. scholarship activity from April 25 through April 28, 2027
