The Arc New York Jonathan Weingold Scholarship
Offered by The Arc New York
About this scholarship
The Jonathan Weingold Scholarship is The Arc New York’s education award for full-time employees of its local Chapters who are furthering their education with the goal of contributing to the intellectual and developmental disabilities field. Four recipients receive $3,000 each. The live 2027 application is submitted through The Arc New York’s SurveyMonkey form by February 12, 2027, rather than through a third-party scholarship directory. This is an employee-development scholarship, so applicants should confirm that their employer is a Chapter of The Arc New York and that their employment is full time before investing in the application. The award supports education that strengthens the applicant’s ability to serve people with intellectual or other developmental disabilities; applicants should clearly connect the planned program, career development, and expected benefit to the field. The Arc New York’s current scholarship system distributes awards in installments and requires proof of continuing enrollment and eligible expenses when funds are claimed. Applicants who are already receiving another scholarship from The Arc New York should review the form’s restrictions because the organization does not select a current scholarship recipient for an additional Arc New York award. A complete submission should address the form’s education, experience, and professional-goal questions and include any recommendation or supporting material requested by the live application.
