Texas A&M Century Scholars Program
Offered by Texas A&M University
About this scholarship
Texas A&M’s Century Scholars Program combines a renewable scholarship with a four-year learning community for graduates of selected Texas high schools. The standard Century Scholarship pays $5,000 per year for four years, and every award includes a separate one-time $1,000 scholarship for a Texas A&M-approved study-abroad experience. Some students may qualify for additional Century Plus funding after review with a regional admissions adviser. Eligibility is geographically specific: an applicant must graduate from a school on Texas A&M’s designated Century Scholars list and must not be classified as an out-of-state student. The review considers academic performance, achievement despite difficult circumstances, employment, leadership, community and campus participation, and other co-curricular involvement. There is no standalone scholarship form. Students apply for Texas A&M freshman admission through Common App or ApplyTexas and must complete both the admission and scholarship portions by December 1. Recipients entering in fall 2026 or later must maintain at least a 2.5 overall Texas A&M GPR and satisfy the program’s continuing requirements each year. Texas A&M does not stack its academic scholarships, so a student qualifying for more than one university academic award generally receives the one with the highest value.
