The Tampere University Tuition Fee Scholarship is an admission-stage scholarship for fee-paying students in English-taught bachelor's and master's degree programs. The official Tampere University page states that students from outside the EU, EEA, and Switzerland studying in English-taught bachelor's or master's programs are liable to pay tuition fees, with 2026 tuition set at EUR 10,000 per year for bachelor's programs and EUR 12,000 per year for master's programs. Tampere University tuition fee scholarships awarded at admission cover 50 percent of tuition fees for the program duration. The award is partial funding because it covers half of tuition only and does not cover living costs, books, computers, student union membership, healthcare fee, insurance, travel, or personal expenses. Scholarships are limited, highly selective, awarded only to exceptionally qualified applicants, and not available in all programs. Students who do not receive the scholarship may still use the early bird offer, which reduces first-year tuition by EUR 2,000 if conditions are met.
