Türkiye Bursları (Türkiye Scholarships) is the Turkish government's flagship scholarship and one of the most comprehensive in the world, funding international students for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral study in Türkiye. The award is genuinely all-inclusive: it places successful applicants in a university and department, waives full tuition, pays a monthly living stipend scaled to academic level, and provides accommodation, health insurance, a one-off return flight, and a one-year Turkish language course, along with free academic and cultural programmes. Applications are completed online through the official Türkiye Scholarships portal, where candidates create an account, select up to a set number of university/programme preferences, and upload documents such as a passport, academic certificates, transcripts, test scores, and a letter of intent. Eligibility is open to citizens of countries other than Türkiye (Turkish citizens and those who lost Turkish citizenship are not eligible), within age limits of under 21 for undergraduate, under 30 for master's, and under 35 for doctoral applicants. Academic thresholds apply — a minimum of 70% for undergraduate, 75% for master's/doctoral, and 90% for medical and health-science programmes. The programme runs in a single application period each year, typically around January–February.
