SUNY Geneseo #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship
Offered by SUNY Geneseo
About this scholarship
The SUNY Geneseo #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship recognizes international undergraduate applicants who want to advance intercultural learning and understanding. Geneseo states that it awards two annual, renewable scholarships covering a minimum of 50 percent of tuition to selected international undergraduate students. Eligible applicants must be first-year international applicants of any major who hold citizenship outside the United States and do not also have U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. They must have graduated from, or be attending, a secondary school outside the United States, meet Geneseo admission criteria and deadlines, and demonstrate interest and initiative in promoting intercultural learning and exchange. The scholarship has a separate scholarship component in addition to admission: applicants apply for admission and complete the #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship application with either a 500- to 1,000-word essay or a two- to five-minute video explaining how their future work will advance intercultural learning. Amount_value is null because the award is published as a tuition percentage rather than a fixed dollar amount.
