Stegall Charitable Educational Foundation Scholarship
Offered by Stegall Charitable Educational Foundation
About this scholarship
The Stegall Charitable Educational Foundation Scholarship supports Tennessee residents or students applying to Tennessee colleges with $1,000 per semester, for no more than two awards in one year. High-school students, graduates, and current college students entering a full-time undergraduate program within one year of the deadline may apply. First-time freshmen need at least a 2.8 high-school GPA or an ACT composite score of 18; college upperclassmen and transfer students need a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Every applicant must demonstrate financial need, remain in unrestricted academic standing, and normally study full time. The foundation gives first preference to applicants with a record of civic service and second preference to those intending to become attorneys. The printable application requests academic history, a FAFSA report showing the Student Aid Index, official transcripts, financial-need information, past community service, career intentions, and any optional personal statement. Awards may cover tuition, fees, room and board, books, and materials. Continued support requires a transcript after the funded term and at least a 2.5 term GPA. Applicants print the sponsor’s two-page form and mail it with the required attachments to the Murfreesboro address. Deadlines are July 1 for fall and December 1 for spring.
