Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas Degree Program Scholarship
Offered by Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas
About this scholarship
The Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas Degree Program Scholarship supports low- to moderate-income single parents building careers through a diploma, associate, bachelor’s, graduate, or eligible cosmetology program. Awards are $2,500 for full-time enrollment, $1,875 for three-quarter-time study, and $1,250 for part-time study. Applicants must live in Benton, Carroll, Madison, or Washington County, Arkansas, have primary financial responsibility for a child, and not cohabit with that child’s other biological or legal parent. The child is generally under 18, although an older child with a qualifying disability may count. Students need a high school diploma or GED, at least a 2.0 GPA, enrollment at an approved institution, and a FAFSA completed or in progress. U.S. citizens, lawful residents, DACA recipients, and other applicants authorized to work may qualify. The online process requires supporting records such as enrollment verification, an official transcript, FAFSA Student Aid Report, federal tax return, Arkansas identification, residence evidence, custody documentation, and immigration or work-status proof where applicable. Finalists interview with the fund. Students reapply each term; Spring 2027 applications use the direct Submittable form and close October 15, 2026.
