Simmons University Kotzen Scholarship
Offered by Simmons University
About this scholarship
The Simmons University Kotzen Scholarship is the university's premier undergraduate merit scholarship. Simmons states that the award covers full tuition, mandatory fees, room and board for four years, and includes an additional annual award of $3,000 for academic pursuits such as study abroad, research support, or other eligible academic experiences. It is recorded as full funding because it covers the core billed undergraduate cost categories identified by Simmons, although students should still budget for personal expenses, travel, health insurance, and any costs outside the stated scholarship coverage. Applicants must apply as first-year students for the fall semester and meet strong academic criteria, including a GPA of 3.3 or higher, a college preparatory curriculum with an advanced-level math course during or before senior year, and evidence of honors, AP, IB, or other advanced coursework where available. The separate scholarship application requires short-answer responses and a formal essay submitted in PDF or Word format by December 1. Finalists are selected for interview in February.
