Sikh Education Fund Scholarships and Interest-Free Loans
Offered by Association of Sikh Professionals
About this scholarship
The Sikh Education Fund helps Sikh students make accredited higher education in the United States more affordable through awards generally ranging from $500 to $4,000. The Association of Sikh Professionals explains that assistance may take the form of a scholarship grant, endowment award, or interest-free loan; loan recipients are expected to repay after graduation so the money can support future students. The program primarily serves college and graduate students. Financial need is an important factor, and the committee also considers academic success and participation in Sikh activities. First-time applications must reach ASP by June 1 each year, while previous recipients seeking another year of support apply by June 28. Applicants download the official form linked from the sponsor’s Sikh Education Fund page, agree to the program terms, answer the questions and essays, and supply the requested supporting documents. The completed offline form is submitted to the official ASP email address shown on the page. The sponsor also states that the original notarization page must be mailed; an application missing that original or other required pieces will not be considered. Continued funding is not automatic. Returning recipients must document satisfactory academic performance, keep the Fund informed about their progress, continue to demonstrate financial need, and maintain at least an overall B grade. Applicants should distinguish the award type in any offer they receive, because an interest-free loan carries a post-graduation repayment obligation while a scholarship or grant does not.
