Sheltair & Avfuel Future Takes Flight Continuing Education Scholarship
Offered by Sheltair Aviation and Avfuel Corporation
About this scholarship
The Sheltair and Avfuel Future Takes Flight Continuing Education category provides two $5,000 awards for professional learning that develops skills used at an FBO, charter company, aircraft maintenance facility, or flight school. Unlike the program's pilot-training and technician tracks, this category is designed for broader aviation career development and has a separate official application. Applicants must demonstrate an interest in aviation education connected to one of the listed workplace settings and submit every required field. The form requests contact information, certification and school details when relevant, optional certificate and résumé uploads, recent employment history, a plan for funding education, and two essays capped at 1,000 characters each. The essays address the applicant's general-aviation career goals, planned use of the scholarship, and an industry problem the applicant would like to improve. Selection rests on the essay responses, with special consideration for financial hardship. Employees of Sheltair or Avfuel and their relatives cannot apply. The award is issued as a joint check to the recipient and chosen educational institution, must advance aviation education, and must be redeemed within one year. Applicants cannot save and return to the form, so the complete submission is due in one session by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on August 31, 2026.
