Rowan University Brown & Gold Scholarship

Offered by Rowan University

About this scholarship

The Rowan University Brown & Gold Scholarship is a merit award for domestic first-year and transfer students whose permanent residence is outside New Jersey. Eligible students must enroll full time at Rowan beginning in a fall semester. There is no separate scholarship form: Rowan considers qualified out-of-state applicants through the undergraduate admission process when they apply by the January 31 priority deadline. Awards can reach $8,500 per academic year. A first-year recipient may receive support for as many as four academic years, or eight semesters, while an eligible transfer recipient may receive it for as many as two academic years, or four semesters. The maximum four-year value is therefore $34,000, but Rowan does not promise the maximum to every eligible student. The Office of Admissions sets each offer after reviewing the student’s overall academic qualifications, the strength of the applicant pool, and available scholarship funding. Applicants should use Rowan’s official undergraduate application page, choose the correct first-year or transfer route, and submit the complete admission file before January 31. First-year materials normally include the application, high-school transcript, recommendations, personal essay, and any portfolio or audition required by the selected program. Transfer applicants submit the application and transcripts from every college attended. Students should review the award notice for renewal conditions and confirm that they continue to meet Rowan’s enrollment and scholarship requirements each term.
