Robert and Todd Storz Broadcast Scholarship
Offered by University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications
About this scholarship
The Robert and Todd Storz Broadcast Scholarship is a renewable University of Nebraska–Lincoln award for exceptional first-year students planning to major in broadcasting through the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. The college describes it as an award for applicants who show strong potential for future academic success, and it may be combined with other university scholarships. Fall 2027 admission is already open. Students should submit the Nebraska or Common Application by the November 1, 2026 priority deadline so scholarship offers can be prepared for February. Once admitted, applicants can use MyRED to complete the university’s Supplemental Scholarship Application, which closes February 1, 2027. The journalism college reviews the admission record and scholarship materials for academic preparation, fit with broadcasting, and future promise. Students should clearly select the broadcasting major and use any available supplemental responses to explain relevant coursework, reporting, audio, video, production, leadership, or media experience. Scholarships.com lists a historical $8,000 value, but Nebraska’s current program page does not promise that figure for fall 2027. This record therefore treats the award as renewable and variable until the college issues an individual offer.
