Pere Marquette Award

About this scholarship

The Pere Marquette Award is Marquette University's largest pool of undergraduate gift assistance and is available to international applicants. Marquette's international undergraduate scholarships page states that all international applicants are automatically considered for the Pere Marquette Award at the time of admission, and the dedicated award page confirms that all full-time undergraduate degree-seeking applicants are considered. There is no scholarship application specific to this award beyond applying for undergraduate admission to Marquette. The award is partial funding because Marquette states that merit scholarships cannot cover all costs and that even the largest merit scholarship still requires recipients and families to cover room, board, fees, books, and other costs. The official award page does not publish a fixed dollar range, so amount value is left null rather than guessed; students can use Marquette's scholarship estimator for a nonbinding estimate based on prior-year awards and academic information. Freshman applicants must apply for admission by February 1 for award consideration. Transfer applicants from two- and four-year colleges are considered on an ongoing basis until funds are exhausted.

• Apply for undergraduate admission to Marquette University
• Be a full-time undergraduate degree-seeking applicant
• International applicants are considered at the time of admission
• No separate Pere Marquette Award application is required
• Freshman applicants must apply by February 1 for award consideration
• Transfer applicants are considered while funds remain available
• Varsity student-athletes and second bachelor's degree earners are not eligible
• Remain full time and in good academic standing for renewal
