Paw Prosper Student of Veterinary Medicine Scholarship

Offered by Paw Prosper

About this scholarship

The Paw Prosper Student of Veterinary Medicine Scholarship awards two $1,000 scholarships to students preparing for work in veterinary medicine or a related animal-health field. Applicants may be undergraduate or graduate students, but they must reside in the United States or Canada and attend an accredited college or university in one of those countries. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required. The 2026 application is an email submission rather than a web form. Each student writes an essay of no more than 1,000 words describing the part of the rapidly changing veterinary profession that most excites them and how they hope to advance it. The sponsor points to areas such as prosthetics and telehealth as examples, but applicants may identify another relevant area. The essay file must begin with a cover page listing the applicant’s name, school, year in school, email address, and phone number. Paw Prosper requires the filename format `Lastname_Firstname_VM_2026`; the finished file is emailed to the scholarship address printed on the official application page. Recipients must agree to provide direct-deposit information so the award can be delivered. Applications are accepted from June 1 through August 31, 2026. This student award is separate from Paw Prosper’s continuing-education scholarship for established animal-health professionals.
