Oregon State University publishes Regional Awards and Scholarships for international undergraduate students entering undergraduate first-year, International Year One, or Undergraduate Transfer pathways. For the 2025-26 scholarship year, the official page lists guaranteed annual awards by region, including examples such as $16,000 per year for Latin America and Singapore, $14,000 for India, $12,000 for Europe, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Africa, $8,000 for Southeast Asia and Hong Kong/Macau, and $2,000 for Taiwan. The awards are automatically granted to qualified applicants with the admission offer, and no separate scholarship application is required. Awarding region is based on country of residence. Students on government scholarships or sponsored by an external entity may be ineligible. The scholarships are renewable as long as the student remains in good academic standing and maintains at least a 2.0 GPA. Oregon State notes that scholarships are subject to change, limited availability, deadlines, and other terms, and values may be lower than published examples. The award is partial funding because it offsets tuition and does not cover the full cost of attendance, including housing, meals, insurance, books, travel, and personal expenses.

Eligibility

• Apply to an eligible Oregon State undergraduate first-year, International Year One, or Undergraduate Transfer pathway
• Be a qualified international applicant from one of the listed residence regions
• Receive the award automatically with the admission offer; no separate application is required
• Not be fully sponsored by a government or external entity if that sponsorship makes the student ineligible
• Maintain good academic standing and at least a 2.0 GPA for renewal
• Follow scholarship-letter terms because values and availability may change
