Ontario Tech lists the GLA at CAD $120,000 total, paid as CAD $30,000 per year for four years. The award recognizes international secondary school applicants with strong academic and leadership abilities. It is partial funding because even CAD $30,000 per year may not cover full tuition, fees, housing, food, health insurance, books, travel, and personal expenses for all programs and living arrangements. The official page states that the award is application-based and is for international secondary-school students entering an undergraduate program at the university on a study permit while currently studying outside Canada. Canadian citizens and permanent residents are not eligible.
