Ohio State President’s Affordability Grant
Offered by The Ohio State University
About this scholarship
The Ohio State President’s Affordability Grant is university-funded gift aid for financially needy Ohio residents pursuing their first bachelor’s degree at Ohio State. The university reports that the program provides additional funding to more than 16,000 middle- and lower-income in-state undergraduates across its campuses. Ohio State does not promise the same dollar amount to every recipient: the award is evaluated each academic year and can change when the student’s FAFSA data, verified financial need, enrollment, or other aid changes. For that reason, the fixed $9,000 figure shown by some scholarship directories is not treated as a guaranteed award. There is no separate scholarship essay or President’s Affordability Grant form. Students apply for undergraduate admission and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid by Ohio State’s February 1 priority date, then complete any verification the financial-aid office requests. Eligible recipients must be Ohio residents, degree-seeking undergraduates, enrolled full time, in good academic standing, and meeting satisfactory academic progress rules. Funding may continue for no more than eight semesters and ends once the first bachelor’s degree is earned. The Apply link goes directly to the federal FAFSA application, while the official-source link provides Ohio State’s complete institutional-grant eligibility, terms, and application table.
