OAS Academic Scholarship Program
Offered by Organization of American States (OAS)
About this scholarship
The OAS Academic Scholarship Program, run by the Organization of American States, gives citizens and permanent residents of OAS member states the opportunity to pursue undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, or graduate research at higher-education institutions across the Americas. Recent guidelines set a maximum of around US$10,000 per scholarship per academic year, which may cover all or part of tuition and mandatory fees, living costs, study materials, airfare, and health insurance, for up to two academic years. Applications are submitted online through the OAS Fellowship Management System; in addition to the central deadline (for example, early April in a recent cycle), each member state has a specially designated National Liaison Agency that may set its own dates and pre-selection process, so applicants should coordinate with that agency. Because the programme spans the hemisphere, the host country and study language vary with the chosen institution. The OAS also runs partnership scholarship programs (PAEC) with specific universities offering additional tuition reductions, which applicants can explore alongside the main academic program.
