NUS Science & Technology Undergraduate Scholarship

About this scholarship

The NUS Science & Technology Undergraduate Scholarship is a freshman scholarship for outstanding Asian students, excluding Singapore citizens, entering selected science, computing, and engineering programmes at the National University of Singapore. The official NUS page states that candidates are considered and shortlisted through their undergraduate admission application. Benefits include 100 percent coverage of subsidised undergraduate tuition fees after the MOE Tuition Grant, S$6,000 annual living allowance, S$1,750 one-time computer allowance, S$200 one-time settling-in allowance, annual accommodation allowance equivalent to the lowest double-room rate for on-campus accommodation, and travel allowance for incoming and return passage. The award is recorded as full funding because it combines tuition, living, accommodation, computer, settling-in, and travel components, although amount_value is null because benefits are denominated in Singapore dollars and depend on programme duration. Eligible programmes include selected Computing, Engineering, and Science degrees, and transfer applicants are not eligible. Recipients must take up the MOE Tuition Grant.

Eligibility

• Be a citizen of an Asian country or region other than Singapore
• Apply for admission to an eligible full-time NUS undergraduate programme in Computing, Engineering, or Science
• Possess outstanding high school results
• Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and potential
• Have an excellent co-curricular activities record
• Be a freshman applicant rather than a transfer applicant
• Take up the MOE Tuition Grant if awarded the scholarship
