NSNA Foundation Undergraduate Nursing Scholarship
Offered by Foundation of the National Student Nurses' Association (FNSNA)
About this scholarship
The Foundation of the National Student Nurses' Association (FNSNA) runs one of the largest nursing-specific scholarship programs in the United States, awarding over $500,000 each year to nursing students through a single online application on its "Forever Nursing" platform. Individual awards are worth up to $10,000. The scholarships support students currently enrolled and matriculated in a US state-approved nursing program leading to an associate degree, baccalaureate, diploma, or direct-entry master's degree, as well as those in RN-to-BSN, RN-to-MSN, or LPN/LVN-to-RN completion programs (funds cannot be used for the first year of basic nursing study). To be eligible, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, a permanent resident, or hold an Alien Registration Number, and must meet the program's graduation-timing requirement. A single application is automatically considered for all FNSNA scholarships for which the applicant qualifies, including general, specialty, and promotion-of-diversity awards. Selection is based on academic achievement, demonstrated financial need, and involvement in nursing student organizations and community health-related activities. The application typically opens in early September and closes in December, with an unofficial transcript uploaded as part of the submission.
