Nicholas A. Pennipede Memorial Scholarship

Offered by Eye Associates of Overland Park

About this scholarship

The Nicholas A. Pennipede Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 award from Eye Associates of Overland Park for students who combine educational ambition with a commitment to serving their communities. The Fall 2026 application is embedded directly on the official scholarship page and remains open through October 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central. Applicants must have been accepted to an accredited college or university and expect to enroll full time within six months, or have been accepted to an optometry school and expect to begin optometry study within six months. The submission centers on one original 500-to-800-word essay addressing how the applicant will use education to serve the community, how the scholarship would advance the student’s goals, and why Eye Associates should select the applicant. The form also requires proof of enrollment or an acceptance letter and a statement of current academic status. The essay must be uploaded as a PDF. Selection considers the essay, satisfaction of the published criteria, and the other information submitted. The official terms permit one entry per student per year, make the award nonrenewable, and require the selected applicant to verify enrollment within 14 days of notification.
