NFPA Fluid Power Scholarship

Offered by National Fluid Power Association Education and Technology Foundation

About this scholarship

The National Fluid Power Association Education and Technology Foundation awards multiple $2,500 scholarships to students preparing for careers involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and related fluid-power technology. Eligible applicants include graduating high school seniors and students at community colleges, technical colleges, and universities. They must study in the United States at an accredited technical college or university and declare a relevant program in which fluid power is taught. Qualifying pathways range from fluid-power technology, mechanical and electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation, robotics, industrial technology, manufacturing, agricultural engineering, computer science, and related certificates. A dedicated fluid-power major is not required. Applicants need at least a 2.5 GPA and submit enrollment verification, a transcript, one recommendation, a 400–500 word career and fluid-power essay, and a separate 200-word activities and leadership response through the online Kaleidoscope system. Master’s and doctoral students are not eligible. Past applicants and recipients may compete again, but students graduating before the supported academic period are excluded. The official page says the next application will reopen during the fall 2026 semester; the closing date has not yet been announced, so this record intentionally does not repeat the directory’s projected March 2027 date.
