New Mexico State University International Competitive Scholarship
Offered by New Mexico State University
About this scholarship
The New Mexico State University International Competitive Scholarship offers qualifying new international students a tuition discount to pay in-state tuition instead of out-of-state tuition, plus a $100 stipend cash award each fall and spring. NMSU states that out-of-state tuition is about three times higher, so the discount can be a substantial cost reduction, but amount_value is left null because the official page describes the benefit as a rate discount rather than a fixed annual dollar amount. The award is partial funding because students still pay in-state tuition, fees, housing, meals, health insurance, books, travel, and personal expenses. The scholarship is only awarded to new incoming degree-seeking students on F-1 visas who have received their I-20. It is renewable for a maximum of eight consecutive semesters or graduation for undergraduate students, four semesters for master's students, and eight semesters for doctoral students, with transfer eligibility depending on prior semesters attended. The fall 2026 application window is May 1 to July 15, 2026.
