NALP Foundation Scholarship Program
Offered by National Association of Landscape Professionals Foundation
About this scholarship
The 2027 NALP Foundation Scholarship Program supports college students preparing for professional careers in landscape contracting and horticulture. The National Association of Landscape Professionals Foundation has awarded more than $2.2 million to over 1,800 students since the program began. Its recurring award structure includes Ambassador Scholarships of at least $1,000, Platinum Ambassador Scholarships of at least $2,000, and a $5,000 President’s Scholarship; the exact award assigned to an applicant depends on the foundation’s donor funds and selections. Students must be enrolled in a two- or four-year postsecondary landscape or horticulture program at a school in the United States or Canada. The live 2027 portal asks applicants to describe relevant employment and internship experience and to supply two recommendations, a current academic transcript, and a recent photograph. The foundation’s guidance also encourages applicants to document career goals, professional events, competition experience, volunteerism, leadership, and all landscape-industry work. Recipients are recognized through the National Collegiate Landscape Competition, although attendance is not required to receive an academic scholarship. A new applicant can register or log in directly from the linked portal and must complete the packet by November 26, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
