MSU Non-resident Scholarship
Offered by Michigan State University
About this scholarship
The MSU Non-resident Scholarship is an automatic undergraduate scholarship for incoming first-year students with non-U.S. residency status at Michigan State University. MSU lists six award levels for international students: President's Scholarship at $15,000 per year, Provost's Scholarship at $12,000, Dean's Scholarship at $10,000, 1855 Scholarship at $7,000, Beaumont Tower Scholarship at $5,000, and Global Community Scholars Scholarship at $3,000. The award is partial funding because it reduces educational cost but does not fully cover tuition, fees, housing, meals, health insurance, books, travel, and personal expenses. MSU states that, unless otherwise noted, the application for admission is all that students need to submit for scholarship consideration. Awards are limited, and meeting criteria does not guarantee an offer. Scholarship decisions for this award are released by mid-February. Under the international scholarship regulations, awards are contingent on maintaining international residency for tuition purposes, enrolling for the semester awarded, completing minimum enrollment expectations, and remaining in good academic standing.
