MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship

About this scholarship

The MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship is a private scholarship for international and DACA students studying in the United States or Canada at schools supported by MPOWER Financing. The official scholarship page states that U.S. citizens wishing to study in the United States and Canadian citizens wishing to study in Canada are not eligible, because the scholarship is specifically for international and DACA students. The 2026 scholarship period ends December 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The award is partial funding because it provides fixed prizes rather than full tuition, housing, living costs, insurance, or travel support. For the scholarship period, MPOWER selects three winners: a first-place winner receives an $8,000 scholarship applied to tuition, fees, or expenses at the winner's school, and two additional winners receive $2,000 and $1,000 scholarships. Applicants must be accepted at or enrolled in a full-time degree program at a supported school and be legally allowed to study in the relevant country.

Eligibility

• Be accepted at or enrolled in a full-time degree program at a U.S. or Canadian school that MPOWER supports
• Be an international student legally allowed to study in the United States or Canada
• For U.S. study, hold a valid study visa, DACA status, or U.S. permanent residency
• For Canadian study, hold a valid Canadian study permit or Canadian permanent residency
• Submit only one scholarship entry during the scholarship period
• Complete the official online scholarship entry form by the deadline
