Mount Allison University International Award

About this scholarship

The Mount Allison University International Award is a targeted entrance award for incoming international undergraduate students. Mount Allison lists the award at CAD $5,000, non-renewable, with five awards available. It is intended for incoming international students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, community involvement, and/or financial need. The award may be combined with other Mount Allison scholarships and bursaries, which makes it useful for students who also receive automatic entrance scholarships or other major awards. Students apply through Mount Allison's application for admission and scholarships, which must be submitted by March 1 for guaranteed scholarship consideration; applications received after that date may be assessed case by case and are not guaranteed consideration. Award values are credited directly to the student financial account in two installments, normally 50% in September and 50% in January, based on anticipated full-time enrollment in 30 credits across fall and winter. This award is partial funding because CAD $5,000 does not cover full tuition, residence, meals, books, health insurance, travel, or personal expenses. Students are notified of scholarship decisions after the admission and scholarship review is completed.

Eligibility

• Apply as an incoming international undergraduate student to Mount Allison University
• Submit the application for admission and scholarships by March 1 for guaranteed consideration
• Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, community involvement, and/or financial need
• Enroll in full-time undergraduate studies if selected
• Award may be combined with other Mount Allison scholarships and bursaries
• Late applications may be considered case by case but are not guaranteed scholarship consideration
