Mount Allison University Entrance Scholarships
Offered by Mount Allison University
About this scholarship
Mount Allison University Entrance Scholarships are automatic first-year scholarship opportunities for entering students with strong admission averages. Mount Allison states that all students have the chance to earn a scholarship and that funds are available on an equitable basis across the student population. Students apply for scholarships at the same time as they apply for admission, using the application for admission and scholarships by March 1. Entrance scholarships range from CAD $4,000 to CAD $20,000 total, normally CAD $1,000 to CAD $5,000 per year, and all entering students with a calculated admission average of 80% or equivalent are automatically considered. The scholarship is partial funding because it does not cover full tuition, residence, meal plan, books, insurance, travel, or personal expenses. Selection can consider extracurricular involvement, leadership experience, community service, work or internship experience, and academic achievement. If awarded, scholarship value is credited directly to the Mount Allison financial account in two equal installments, 50% in September and 50% in January, based on anticipated enrollment in 30 credits.
