The Mississippi Premier Scholarship is the top International Academic Excellence scholarship for incoming international freshmen at the University of Mississippi. Ole Miss lists the award at $27,660 per year for four years, equal to 93% of tuition per year. It is specifically for incoming freshman undergraduate international students who attended secondary or high school outside the United States. The award is partial funding because it is pegged to tuition and does not fully cover required fees, the international student fee, housing, meals, health insurance, books, travel, and personal expenses. International Academic Excellence scholarships are automatic, so students do not submit supplemental scholarship materials or start a separate scholarship application. Once accepted for admission, eligible students receive an award letter based on GPA. To qualify for the Mississippi Premier level, applicants need a 3.9 to 4.0 GPA on the U.S. scale and must meet minimum English proficiency requirements. Ole Miss states that these fixed awards are renewable for up to four years as long as all terms and conditions are met.

Eligibility

• Apply as an incoming freshman undergraduate international student to the University of Mississippi
• Have attended secondary or high school outside the United States
• Be accepted for admission to Ole Miss
• Have a 3.9 to 4.0 GPA on the U.S. scale
• Meet minimum English proficiency requirements
• No separate scholarship application is required
• Meet Ole Miss renewal terms and conditions for continuation up to four years
