The Mississippi Magnolia Scholarship is an automatic International Academic Excellence scholarship for incoming international freshmen at the University of Mississippi. Ole Miss lists the total scholarship as $9,500 per year for four years, equal to 32% of tuition per year. The award is for incoming freshman undergraduate international students who attended secondary or high school outside the United States and whose GPA falls in the Magnolia range. It is partial funding because it offsets tuition but does not cover the full cost of tuition, required fees, housing, food, health insurance, books, travel, or personal expenses. Students do not need a separate application for International Academic Excellence scholarships. Admitted international undergraduates are automatically considered, and eligible students receive an award letter after admission based on GPA. The Mississippi Magnolia Scholarship requires a 3.5 to 3.74 GPA on the U.S. scale, and applicants must also meet minimum English proficiency requirements. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years as long as all terms and conditions continue to be met.

Eligibility

• Apply as an incoming freshman undergraduate international student to the University of Mississippi
• Have attended secondary or high school outside the United States
• Be accepted for admission to Ole Miss
• Have a 3.5 to 3.74 GPA on the U.S. scale
• Meet minimum English proficiency requirements
• No separate scholarship application is required
• Meet Ole Miss renewal terms and conditions for continuation up to four years
