Mississippi Champion Scholarship
Offered by University of Mississippi
About this scholarship
The Mississippi Champion Scholarship is an International Academic Excellence scholarship for incoming international freshmen at the University of Mississippi. Ole Miss lists the award at $12,000 per year for four years, described as 40% of tuition per year. It is available to incoming freshman undergraduate international students who attended secondary or high school outside the United States and meet the GPA band for the award. The scholarship is partial funding because it reduces tuition but does not fully cover tuition, required fees, the international student fee, campus housing, meals, health insurance, books, travel, or personal expenses. International Academic Excellence scholarships are automatic; students do not submit supplemental materials or a separate scholarship application. After admission, eligible students receive an award letter based on their GPA, provided they also meet Ole Miss minimum English proficiency requirements. The Champion level requires a 3.75 to 3.89 GPA on the U.S. scale. The award is fixed and renewable for up to four years as long as the student satisfies all renewal terms and conditions.
